The Difference Between the Gold, Green and Purple Sea Moss

Is there a difference between the gold, purple and green sea moss?


All sea moss variations contain 92 of the 102 minerals our bodies need, however the difference with the pigments is what gives the additional health benefits.

Green and purple sea moss must be shaded and air dried in order to preserve their natural pigments.

Green sea moss is high in Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll gives plants that natural green color and is a dense antioxidant.

Cleaning your Sea Moss

  • Clean in a large bowl with Sparkling Water (you may add limes)
  • Soak for up to 24 hours in a refrigerator (make sure you clean and replace water)
  • Make sure the water completely covers the Sea Moss so it can grow.
  • You can make any ounce at a time. 
  • Heat up 1-2 cups of water per 1 cup of soaked moss (example: 3-4 cups water for 2 cups of Sea Moss
  • Add Sea Moss to hot water (you may want to cut it up so it doesn't ruin the blender)
  • DO NOT cook Sea Moss, just let it sit in boiled Sparkling water for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to blender and blend on high for 90 seconds.
  • Pour into jars. 

Friendly Reminders

  • Only clean what you plan on making into gels. 
  • Store your Sea Moss in a cool, dark place. 
  • If your Sea Moss gel comes out to thin add more sea moss and blend, if it comes out to thick add more boiled water.
